There are many reasons for writing eBooks and your specific reasons will determine the type of eBook you write. If you write because you want to share your knowledge or promote a business, there are certain types of products that you will write.

If you want to make money through selling ebooks, then you will write other types and so on. At this point, it is not important to go through various types of ebooks, just write down the reason you want to write the first one - get money, share your knowledge, drive traffic to your website, make affiliate sales, etc.

Maintain that reason to be useful because it will inspire you in the next few days as you write your first draft.

What are you writing?

Your topic is what you will write. Now there are thousands of topics you can write about, but I strongly encourage you to write about something you like or know a lot about.

The more you know about your topic, the easier it is to write about it. Most would-be writers are stuck with block writers because they are trying to write about a subject they don't know.

What is the title of your section?

Sexy, I mean interesting and interesting. You want a title that will attract your potential readers and make it want to hear more.

Some of my favorite titles to use as good examples are:
  • Rich Dad Poor Dad
  • One Minute Millionaire
  • The Millionaire Next Door
  • Fat Loss 4 Idiots!

Brainstorm some great titles and write them now.

Who are you writing for?

Besides yourself, who are you writing for? Who is your ideal reader or constant reader like Stephen King likes to call it.

When you know who you are writing - beginners, pros, advanced people - you can easily find out how much information to leave or cut your writing.

I will usually write to my ideal readers when I am working on my first draft. I find out what I have to explain in detail and what they need to know when writing one of the products.

Create your outline

Now that "why" and "what" is out of the way, you are just one step away from writing your ebook. First, you need to write or write a strict list of contents. This will keep you on track when you write.

My best way to outline is to take a blank sheet of paper and a pen and think about your topic. Ask yourself, how would you solve this particular problem for your readers?

What is the first thing your readers need to do?

Write the steps. What is the second thing they need to do? Also write the step. Continue this process until you have all the main things listed on a piece of paper.

Write Your Own eBook - It's Time to Write

After you have an outline, you don't need to do anything but write. This is what you need to do to ensure success:
  • Maintain your outline and open your MS Word document.
  • Select sub-topics from your outline.
  • Start writing about that topic. Don't think about this process too much. Just select a topic, think for a moment and write down what your readers need to know about it. Only 3 to 4 sentences for each sub-topic should be your goal.

Why? Because your readers really only want the facts and they want it right away. They want to learn how to solve their problems quickly!

The perfect way to get a quick solution for your readers is to make your writing short and to the point. I want to target 25 to 40 pages in a special report or my short ebook.

You must stay focused

Stay with your outline and don't add topics or sub-topics anymore. If you don't comply with your outline, you will never complete your first draft.

Write Every Day

The target is to write about 5 double-spaced pages per day. For 30 days, which is 150 pages. This amount of material is far more than you need, but it's better to have more content than too little during the editing phase.

As you can see, your daily writing really increases over time, so the realistic goal is to finish your writing in 10 days and have a 50-page ebook. Choose the page goals that make the most sense for you, your abilities, and the time you have to spend every day for your writing.

Reminder: Just Write a Little on Each Topic

How long you write the first draft, it all depends on how much you write about any topic in your outline. I try to focus on just a few sentences per sub-topic and you also have to. You will complete your eBook in less than 30 days and your readers will thank you just to get to the point. This is a mutually beneficial situation for both of you!

So remember, stay focused on your writing. Give the reader the information they need and move to the next topic.
